The Bikini Carwash Company is a 1992 comedy co-written and directed by Ed Hansen (Takin’ It Off, Eroticise, Party Favors, Party Plane, Hell’s Belles, Cyber-C.H.I.C., Takin’ It Off Out West, and Takin’ It All Off). It was co-written and produced by the legendary George ‘Buck’ Flower (Teenage Seductress, Death Falls, Hell’s Belles, In Search of a Golden Sky, and Drive in Massacre). A sequel “The Bikini Carwash Company II” was made the next year!!!! Jack McGowan (played by: Joe Dusic), a naive guy from the Midwest comes to L.A. to run his ailing uncle Elmer’s (played by: Patrick Wright from Cannonball!, Graduation Day, The Cheerleaders, Maniac Cop, and A Million to Juan)local carwash. He ends up lost while trying to find it and shows up at the beach. He is rescued by foxy business major Melissa Reeves (played by: Kristi Ducati from Intimate Obsession, The Bikini Carwash Company II, Meatballs 4, Married… with Children, Wild Child, and Sorceress) and all of her friends. She convinces him to let her run the business for a cut of the action. Their new employees draws way too much attention and it causes chaos in the community!!!! The Bikini Carwash Company takes advantage of the popularity of the raunchy comedy from the late 80’s and early 90’s. Sex comedy veteran Ed Hansen is behind the camera for this one. At this point, he could do these types of movies in his sleep. He knows exactly what to do with something like this. It was co-written and produced by iconic character actor George ‘Buck’ Flower (Back to the Future franchise, The Fog, Puppet Master II, Cheerleader Camp, Sorority Babes in the Slimeball Bowl-O-Rama, Blood Games, and Pumpkinhead). Newcomer Joe Dusic in his only performance as Jack McGowan is decent here. He is the lead for this independent feature, he’s new to this business and he’s just trying to help out his family by taking over for a little bit. The beautiful Kristi Ducati is one of the true highlights in this as the creative Melissa Reeves. She really adds a whole different vibe and atmosphere to this struggling carwash. Cult director Jim Wynorski (Chopping Mall) appears in one of his bigger acting roles as long time employee Ralph that originally doubts his new boss when he shows up but he’s proven wrong once business picks up. The rest of the supporting cast includes Patrick Wright, Rikki Brando (The Bikini Carwash Company II), Sara Suzanne Brown (The Bikini Carwash Company II), Neriah Davis (The Bikini Carwash Company II), Brook Lynn Page, Kimberly Bee, Scott James (The Deadly Avenger), Landon Hall (Puppet Master III: Toulon’s Revenge), John F. Goff (The Fog), Suzanne Ager (Evil Toons), and Jack Klarr (Sex Crimes). The Bikini Carwash Company delivers on eye candy, sleaze, laughs, and plenty of nudity. All of the women in this are not shy at all and they show off their bodies. The flasher subplot is hilarious and it ends up being an interesting twist to it. Turn off your brain, this is mindless entertainment that’s not afraid to embrace what it is. The Bikini Carwash Company is so much fun, it’s worthy of checking out just for all of the ladies here. It was written by Bart B. Gustis. It was produced by Alan B. Bursteen (The Bikini Carwash Company, Storm Catcher, Gunslingers, The Minute You Wake Up Dead, Pursuit, Locked Down, Bikini Frankenstein, Puppet Master vs Demonic Toys, and Method). This is the follow up to 1992’s The Bikini Carwash Company!!!! Those wild washing women which includes Melissa (played by: Kristi Ducati from Intimate Obsession, The Bikini Carwash Company, Meatballs 4, Married… with Children, Wild Child, and Sorceress), Sunny (Sara Suzanne Brown from The Bikini Carwash Company, The Last Boy Scout, Mirror Images II, and Secret Games 2: The Escort), Amy (played by: Rikki Brando from Zipperface, The Bikini Carwash Company, and Buford’s Beach Bunnies), and Rita (played by: Neriah Davis from Baywatch, Meatballs 4, The Bikini Carwash Company, Citizen Toxie: The Toxic Avenger IV, and Last Action Hero) are back for more summer fun while making lots of money. When a weaselly business magnate tries to buy out the carwash, the gals turn to a cable lingerie business to raise some needed funds and when they pose, more than funds get raised to save their business by being taken over by corporate greed!!!! The Bikini Carwash Company II is very similar to the original but it changes a few things up. They bring back all of the previous stuff that made it successful which was the eye candy, sleaze, and so much nudity. Sleaze director Gary Orona puts together this follow up. The credited screenwriter was clearly a fake alias from someone who must have been embarrassed about being behind this. The best thing about II is that it brings back previous stars Kristi Ducati, Sara Suzanne Brown, Rikki Brando, and Neriah Davis. They ease into their established roles again. They all know what to do with the material and what they bring to the table. All of these ladies look amazing in The Bikini Carwash Company II. They are the reason to seek this one out. The rest of the cast includes Greg Raye, Larry De Russy (3rd Rock from the Sun), Garro Ellis (Frogtown II), Melissa Barrick, Donna Grider, Kai Bailey, Christina Ditto, Stephanie Hudson (Femalien), Carrie Chambers (Sleepaway Camp IV: The Survivor), and Beckie Mullen (GLOW: Gorgeous Ladies of Wrestling). The Bikini Carwash Company II doesn’t add anything new or different to the raunchy comedy franchise. It’s safe to say, if you enjoyed the first one then you will feel the same way here. This sequel is not as good but it still delivers everything that you would expect from this sub-genre. The original did so good on video that it spawned this one but the audience felt two was enough when it came to The Bikini Carwash Company. Let’s discuss these high definition presentations and special features from the MVD Rewind Collection! These 1080p (1.29:1) transfers are from a HD remaster from SD videotape masters. These low budget comedies have always looked a little rough but this is the best possible quality for both films. It’s much better than any previous DVD or VHS home video release. I’ve seen longer versions of both The Bikini Carwash Company in the past but I’m guessing that footage wasn’t available for this upgrade but it’s still very sleazy. This will never be considered reference quality but it’s a major improvement. It has a few different audio options which includes English: Dolby Digital 2.0 and English: LPCM 2.0 tracks on the disc. The audio mainly sticks out for it’s soundtrack. The dialogue is very clean, the eye candy is elevated, and the music has a solid boost to it. It has English SDH subtitles. It has the original standard definition versions without restoration for both movies if you are feeling nostalgic. It has a brand new exclusive “Audio Commentary” with cult director and actor Jim Wynorski for the original movie. He chats about not expecting to be acting in this but he did it for his friend George ‘Buck’ Flower. He talks about being brought in to help with the director. It was a quick shoot. He goes over the cast, locations, and various other things. He shares his personal experiences and inside stories on it. This is an entertaining track, if you want to learn more about then it’s highly recommended. It has a variety of MVD related “Trailers”. It comes with a retro slipcover and a mini poster.
