Avengers: Endgame Blu Ray Review (Disney)





Let’s discuss the special from Disney on this blu ray release! “Intro” by Directors Anthony & Joe Russo is a little over 2 minutes. They do quick overview of everything including this film, MCU, & the emotions going through the production. “Audio Commentary” with directors Joe Russo, Anthony Russo, writers Christopher Markus, & Stephen McFeely. They chat about the story. They talk about all the different characters & actors here. They go over the franchise & the story for Endgame. They cover various technical aspects about the shoot. Lots of information is discussed on this track. These two extras are located on disc 1. Now, let’s move on to disc 2 where all the other special features are located for the release! “Remembering Stan Lee” is a little over 7 minutes. It has an interview with the legend himself. They pay great tribute to the Marvel creator. It has all kinds of behind the scenes footage from MCU films. It shows his cameos from past & present productions. “Setting the Tone: Casting Robert Downey Jr” is a little over 5 minutes. It has interviews with Robert Downey Jr., Josh Brolin, Chris Evans, Mark Ruffalo, Scarlett Johansson, Gwyneth Paltrow, Jon Favreau, & various members of the production. They chat about him being the perfect actor for the role. They talk about how the studio wasn’t sure at first & they had to fight for him to get it. They bring up some of his past work. They mention the journey he’s been on for this & how import it was for the MCU universe. “A Man Out of Time: Creating Captain America” is a little over 12 minutes. It has interviews with Chris Evans, Robert Downey Jr., Scarlett Johansson, The Russo Brothers, various MCU cast, & various members of the production. They chat about the character & the actor who plays him. They talk about how critical he is to the Marvel universe as a leader & all the changes he has went through over the years. It has behind the scenes footage. They say Evans was hesitate to do the role at first. “Black Widow: Whatever it Takes” is a little over 7 minutes. It has interviews with Scarlett Johansson, The Russo Brothers & various members of the production. They show you the numerous appearances in various films from the character over the years. They show how much she has changed during that. They chat about their experience with the MCU & what she does in Endgame. “The Russo Brothers: Journey to Endgame” is a little over 5 minutes. It has interviews with Robert Downey Jr., Chris Evans, The Russo Brothers, various MCU cast, & various members of the production. They chat about their dedication to this Marvel franchise. They talk about working on these films back to back. They mention that they are the only ones that could handle this many characters & actors on the same set. They say how much the Russo brothers added to the MCU with these last few productions. “The Women of the MCU” is almost 5 minutes. It has interviews with Scarlett Johansson, Gwyneth Paltrow, Karen Gillan, The Russo Brothers, various MCU cast, & various members of the production. They talk about all the strong female characters over the years in the MCU & them coming together for this feature. It has all kinds of behind the scenes footage. They chat about their experience from the production. “Bro Thor” is almost 4 minutes. It has interviews with Chris Hemsworth, Paul Rudd, various MCU cast, & various members of the production. They chat about what Thor has been through & the changes that he has made in his life. They chat about Chris having a blast playing this very different version of the role. It shows you behind the scenes & what they had to do to transform Thor as someone completely different in Endgame. Almost 5 minutes of “Deleted Scenes” which includes Goji Berries, Bombs on Board, Suckiest Army in the Galaxy, You Used to Frickin’ Live Here, Tony and Howard, & Avengers Take a Knee. I am not surprised that they didn’t cut much from the final film because it’s definitely a long feature. The “Gag Reel” is almost 2 minutes & features some hilarious moments from the superhero set. It also has a slipcover & a digital code. It was released on 4K, DVD, & Digital with various store exclusives. It’s available everywhere right now, CHECK IT OUT!!!!
