Scooby-Doo, Where Are You! reruns kept me entertained as a kid. It was one of my all time favorite shows growing up. It was a very fun show that always had you guessing & kept you on your toes with some unique twists. As far as vocal talent goes, Scooby Doo had an all star cast with Frank Welker, Casey Kasem, & Don Messick. Those three have done so much when it comes to the world of animation & cartoons. It’s crazy to see all the iconic characters & shows that they worked on over the years. I wish they would have stuck to one actress for the Velma & Daphne roles but everyone involved here was really good in this. John Stephenson (The New Scooby-Doo Movies, The Scooby-Doo/Dynomutt Hour, Jonny Quest, The Flintstones, The Transformers, The Incredible Hulk, & The Fantastic Four) killed it on Scooby Doo, he voiced many of the villains on the show which includes Creeper, Mr. Hyde, Mummy of Ankha, The Black Knight, Dracula, Werewolf, other bad guys, & a variety of ghosts. This television show brings back all kinds of memories for me, when I was younger I didn’t miss an episode of Scooby Doo when it was on TV. Now that I am older & revisiting this after all this time, Where are You! can be a little repetitive. They loved their formula here, they knew what their audience wanted so they kept delivering similar stories & mysteries. Yes, it has aged but the nostalgia takes over & it’s a great experience plus it’s honestly never looked this good before. It finally got the HD treatment that it deserved with this numbered set. Scooby Doo continues to be one of the best animation franchises around, this is where to start out with it’s history & it’s a very entertaining ride, HIGHLY RECOMMENDED!!!!

Let’s talk about the high definition presentation from Warner Bros! These 1080p (1.33:1) transfers on all 41 episodes never have looked better on home video. Let’s be honest, it’s not the flashest or best looking cartoon around plus it has aged tremulously since it first aired in the 70s but it’s a major improvement over all the previous DVD releases. Nothing will ever top this release when it comes to this original series when it comes to the visual quality. It has two audio options which include English: Dolby Digital 2.0 & French: Dolby Digital 2.0 on this limited edition set. It’s a huge upgrade compared to everything in the past. The dialogue is crystal clear, all the mysteries are elevated, & the music has a solid boost to it. It also has English SDH & French subtitles. If you are a Scooby Doo fan, this release is a must own!!!!!
