The Perfect Gamble Blu Ray Review (Well Go USA)

The Perfect Gamble is a 2025 crime film produced and directed by Danny A. Abeckaser (First We Take Brooklyn, Mob Town, Blackjack: The Jackie Ryan Story, The Engineer, 12 Hours in October, Mob Cops, and Inside Man). It was written by Kosta Kondilopoulos (Mob Cops, Inside Man, The Engineer, Bardejov, I Love Us, and 12 Hours in October). It was produced by Ehud Bleiberg (In the Land of Saints and Sinners,The Debt Collector, The Iceman, 100 Girls, Avengement, and Monster Man). Two career gamblers Charlie (played by: David Arquette from Scream franchise, Never Been Kissed, Airheads, Beautiful Girls, 3000 Miles to Graceland, WCW, and You Cannot Kill David Arquette) and Felix (played by: Danny A. Abeckaser from You Don’t Mess with the Zohan, The Wolf of Wall Street, The Irishman, and The Iceman) are released from prison. They decide to run their own casino and it starts to have some major success. The Russian Mob controlled by Dimitri (played by: Eli Danker from First We Take Brooklyn, 24: Legacy, The West Wing, and Undisputed 2: Last Man Standing) with his ambitious son Victor (played by: Dean Miroshnikov from Quest, In Bed, and Charlie Golf One) muscle their way into the business. Charlie’s new girlfriend Sonia (played by: Daniella Pick Tarantino from Once Upon a Time… in Hollywood) is caught in the middle of this dangerous situation. The two lifelong friends come up with a creative plan but it involves working with crime lord Peter (played by: Herzl Tobey from You Don’t Mess with the Zohan, 24, and The Shield). Will they be able to escape this pressure before it’s all too late???? The Perfect Gamble tries to be a redemption story for some unlucky criminals. They ran out of the luck and it’s time to do something better. They don’t gamble anymore but they move away to a new environment and set up this gambling club. Everything starts out great until they get too much attention from the local gangsters. Director Danny A. Abeckaser is getting very familiar behind the camera when it comes to crime and action. David Arquette proves once again how underrated he is. He’s at the top of his game here. He’s the reason to watch The Perfect Gamble. Charlie is trying his best to stick to business rather getting involved with anymore petty crime. He does good for a little bit but he’s back to gambling again. He’s getting pressured by powerful locals when his casino makes too much money. He meets a new person while he relocates for this new venture and that’s one of the better things in his complicated life. Director Danny A. Abeckaser was an actor before he started making his own movies so it’s natural for him to be in this as Felix. He’s the one that convinces Charlie to leave New York to run this casino with him. Daniella Pick Tarantino gets a much bigger role than her debut in Once Upon a Time… in Hollywood. She’s stuck in this shady world and unfortunately it just gets poor Charlie into additional trouble as they connect. She really impressed me in this. She’s dangerous and mysterious so you don’t know what you are really getting with her until it happens. The rest of the supporting cast includes Herzl Tobey, Eli Danker, Dean Miroshnikov, Michael Lahav (Manayek), Michael Lewis (7 Days in Entebbe), Hadar Shitrit (12 Hours in October), Dan Mor (Underbelly), and Sal Tesauro (Gotti). It has various international performers featured in this. It has a mix of dark humor, drama, crime, suspense, romance, and action for The Perfect Gamble. The script focuses on it’s character development and it’s build up to everything. It makes the audience wait some time before it all explodes but it’s worth it. It throws in some twists and surprises. It has plenty of exciting action and crazy violence for it’s finish. The villains are very unlikable especially Victor, he doesn’t have respect for his own father. Charlie and Felix are trying to be legit and move on from their troubled history in New York. They risk it all for something better. You are really are rooting for them survive these sharks trying to take everything over. The Perfect Gamble is much better than I thought it would be, it’s a quality entry for the gambling sub-genre that doesn’t get made enough these days. It keeps itself entertaining and it has a smooth flow to it. The independent scene continues to step it up, give this a shot. RECOMMENDED!!!! Let’s discuss this high definition presentation from Well Go USA! This 1080p (2.39:1) transfer looks very sharp for it’s lower budget. The beautiful locations and the slick production design pop out the most when it comes to the stylish visuals. It has an English: DTS-HD Master Audio 5.1 and English: DTS-HD Master Audio 2.0 tracks on the disc. The audio mainly stands out when it comes to it’s score but it sounds great for it’s wild finale with all of it’s action and violence. All of the dialogue is crisp, the suspense is elevated, and the music has a killer boost to it. It has English SDH subtitles. It has the “Trailer” for The Perfect Gamble. It has various Well Go USA related “Trailers”. It’s a professionally made on demand BD-R. It’s available everywhere right now including MovieZyng.com, CHECK IT OUT!!!!
