The Dallas Connection Blu Ray Review (Mill Creek Entertainment)
The Dallas Connection is a 1994 independent action film written & directed by Christian Drew Sidaris (Enemy Gold). This is a sequel to 1993’s Enemy Gold. Drew Sidaris was the second assistant director on a few of his dad’s films such as Malibu Express, Hard Ticket to Hawaii, Picasso Trigger, Savage Beach, Guns, & Do or Die. Plus he worked on 13 episodes each for the television shows The Dukes of Hazzard & The A-Team. It was produced by the legendary Andy Sidaris (Enemy Gold, Savage Beach/Return to Savage Beach, Day of the Warrior, Seven, Hard Hunted, & Fit to Kill). It’s not officially apart of the L.E.T.H.A.L. Ladies franchise/universe but it features many of the same cast from those movies as different characters in this.

Esteemed scientists in charge of a sophisticated, state-of-the-art, satellite weapon-tracking system are being seduced & assassinated before a major scientific convention in Dallas. This killing spree has to do with the upcoming International World Arms Removal project. Scientist Antonio Morales (played by: Rodrigo Obregón from Savage Beach/Return to Savage Beach, Enemy Gold, Hard Hunted, & Collateral Damage)is the last one around from the experiment. All of the others were brutally executed by cold blooded killers. Fearing for his own life, he asks for protection & he gets the best which is Special Agent Samantha Maxx (played by: Samantha Phillips from Phantasm II, Dollman, Weekend at Bernie’s II, & Angel 4) for this dangerous job. Black Widow (played by: Julie Strain from Enemy Gold, Psycho Cop Returns, Witchcraft IV, & Heavy Metal 2000) with her lethal group of assassins which includes Cobra (played by: Julie K. Smith from Day of the Warrior, Return to Savage Beach, Angel III, & The Hills Have Thighs), Scorpion (played by: Wendy Hamilton from Warlock: The Armageddon, Scoring, & Ski School 2), & Fu (played by: Gerald Okamura from Big Trouble in Little China, Ninja Busters, Rapid Fire, & Showdown in Little Tokyo) are determined to finish the job. Federal agents are back from Enemy Gold, Chris Cannon (played by: Bruce Penhall from CHiPs, Enemy Gold, Savage Beach, & Body Count) & Mark Austin (played by: Mark Barriere from Enemy Gold, Fit to Kill, & Married… with Children) offer their help with this chaotic mission. Is it too late to save them????

This is the 2nd project from the newer Skyhawks Films studio after moving on from Malibu Bay Films for the Sidaris family. The legendary cult director Andy Sidaris returned as producer for The Dallas Connection plus he did some additional 2nd unit work on this. His son Drew Sidaris fresh off his previous feature Enemy Gold, follows it up with a somewhat sequel with some characters from that one coming back. This might be a little confusing but a few of the same actors from that one that died are in The Dallas Connection as brand new characters for this. Sidaris had his regulars & he was always loyal to those actors so you always see some familiar faces in these crazy 90’s action flicks loaded with T & A. It has some beautiful women in this. Most of them are not shy at all either so it has all kinds of nudity like always when it comes these films. Gerald Okamura & Rodrigo Obregón were both solid in this. The rest of the cast is just having fun here & going over the top when it came to the acting especially Julie Strain. Drew Sidaris is one responsible for shooting lots of the famous action scenes for his father in various projects so you know his own feature is full of explosive action. Bullets, bombs, & boobs keep you entertained during this fun experience. It has great replay value, it’s nice one to watch with a group of friends. The Dallas Connection is awesome entertainment, turn off your brain & enjoy all the ridiculous action in this. I thought The Dallas Connection was a little better than the previous Enemy Gold. The replay value is very strong with this one, RECOMMENDED!!!!
