Orgy Of The Dead 2 Blu Ray Review (Hojbob Productions)

Orgy of the Dead 2 is a 2026 horror comedy written, produced, and directed by Andrew J Chambers (Lust, Magic, and the Witches’ Sabbath, After School Lunch Special franchise, Grindsploitation 10: Milkin’ It, Babezilla vs the Zombie Whorde, and Babezilla vs the Cyber Skanks: Rise of MechaBabezilla). It had an estimated budget of $6,000. It was inspired by 1965’s Orgy of the Dead from Ed Wood. Once again, the dead return to land of the living for a night of debauchery as the Princess of the Night (played by: Penny Aphrodite from Ouija Slumber Party, Shiver: Slaying All Night, and Pigshit) and the Emperor (played by: Mike Fantastik from After School Lunch Special 2: Sloppy Seconds) host a variety of dancing beauties to either entertain or be banished to hell. A car full of drunken teens crash which includes Cindy (played by: Jessa Flux from Darbie’s Scream House, Blood Bitch Baby, Crackcoon, Onlyfangs, CarousHELL 3, and Curtains for Christmas), Jenny (played by: Jaymie Schroeder from The Devil’s Dancers), Peter (played by: Adam Peltier from Lethally Blonde, Adventures in Online Dating, and Dauntless: The Battle of Midway), and Jake (played by: Nick Somers from Boardwalk Winter and Ice Bros) their car near the graveyard and stumble upon the gruesome scene!!!! The original Orgy of the Dead is regarded as one of the worst movies ever made so I was very curious to see this modern day version of it. It’s called part 2 but it feels more like a remake than anything. It’s a simple setup with only a few locations, it mainly takes place in the cemetery. Director Andrew J Chambers puts his own on this ambitious concept. The script stays to the basics, an unlucky group of friends end up being held hostage by Princess of the Night and the Emperor. They make them watch and interact with their dancing zombies as the night goes on. Scream Queen Jessa Flux as Cindy is the best thing about Orgy of the Dead 2. She’s hilarious as the horny girl that’s forced to experience this bizarre tradition. It turns out that it turns her on and she has some seriously depraved kinks. She’s supposed to be a victim but she’s enjoying herself during this night of hell on the earth. Jaymie Schroeder, Adam Peltier, and Nick Somers are the rest of the friends that’s trapped in this cemetery. They all react to this situation differently and none of them want to be here. Penny Aphrodite as Princess of the Night has a nice presence here. She’s the one judging all of this entertainment. She let’s her victims and the undead show her their talents. The Emperor character had lots of potential for a quality villain but I wasn’t really sold on Mike Fantastik portrayal of it. He didn’t have enough charisma to pull it off. The rest of the supporting cast includes Clint Beaver (Amityville Turkey Day), Stephanie Love (Babezilla franchise), Bobbi Jo (Babezilla vs the Cyber Skanks: Rise of MechaBabezilla), Maia Thomas (The Devil’s Dancers), Zdenek Voprada (Deployed), Luis Cruz (After School Lunch Special), Katie Kadaver (Hexen Arcane), Michael E. Ross (Babezilla vs the Cyber Skanks: Rise of MechaBabezilla), Mercy Andersen (Babezilla vs the Zombie Whorde), and Tony Kimball (Lust, Magic, and the Witches’ Sabbath). A nice variety of women try to save their soul while performing for these powerful monsters. They have have their own styles but a similar scenario keeps repeating itself. It’s loaded with nudity and eye candy so that’s one of the main reasons to check it out. They don’t back when it comes to that here. The production design and special fx were decent with what they had for the budget. They fit the comedy aspect of this. It’s ironic because the original had more financial support behind it than this newer version. Orgy of the Dead 2 is a fun homage to that one. It delivers exactly what the viewer thinks it’s going to be based on the source material. It’s not for everyone, if you are not familiar with Ed Wood and this concept then it will be an interesting experience for sure!!!!! This 1080p (1.78:1) transfer highlights it’s ambitious production design, special fx, and cemetery location. It doesn’t shy away from it’s limitations and it embraces what they have to offer. It has an English Stereo 2.0 track on the disc. Orgy of the Dead 2 features all kinds of familiar songs but they are remixed due to copyright issues. All of the dialogue is crystal clear, the competition is elevated, and the music has a huge boost to it. It has English SDH subtitles. It has an “Audio Commentary” with Andrew J Chambers, Tony Kimball, Mike Fantastik, and Morgan Molck. It has the almost 66 minute “Blessed is the Night” directed by Tony Kimball. It’s a full length conversation with director Andrew J Chambers. He goes over the development, getting the rights, challenges, and the overall experience of the independent production. He points out the differences between his version compared to the original. It’s a detailed inside look into making this. It has some behind the scenes footage from the set. It has the almost 18 minute “Behind the Scenes with Aaron Gum”. This focuses on the score and soundtrack for Orgy of the Dead 2. He goes over his motivations and process for putting together the music for this low budget feature. It has the little over 5 minute “Ramblings of Adam Peltier”. The actor talks about various things while filming this movie. It has some footage included where the performer improvices. It has the “Trailer” for Orgy of the Dead 2. It comes with a comic book style insert for Orgy of the Dead 2. It’s a professionally made on demand BD-R. It’s available everywhere right now, CHECK IT OUT!!!!
