Make Them Die Sleazy! is a 2014 horror anthology written / produced / edited / directed by Chris Woods (Blood, Guts and Sunshine 2: The History of Horror Made in Florida, Chaos A.D., Chameleon, Amerikan Holokaust, and Taste Me: Death-Scort Service Part 3) and John Miller ($kumbagz, Crackbaby Billionaire, and The Sleaze Box). It was co-written by Simon Lynx (Dark Comedy), Luis Matos, and Joel D. Wynkoop (Beast Mode, Amityverse: Infinity, Slasher Weekend, The Fall of an Actor, and Twisted Illusions 2). It had an estimated budget of $1,000. When a sexy convention-goer (played by: Tobian Thompson from The Sleaze Box) returns to her hotel room after a long day of fandom and fantasy, she tunes in to the deranged broadcast of horror host Mr. Sleaze (played by: Joel D. Wynkoop from Chaos A.D., Twisted Illusions, Truth or Dare franchise, Killing Spree, Lost Faith, Creep, Dirty Cop franchise, Death-Scort Service franchise, and Post Mortem, America 2021). What begins as cheap entertainment quickly spirals into an unhinged nightmare as Mr. Sleaze’s late-night programming bursts from the screen and into reality bringing along a cavalcade of madmen, hookers, perverts, and manic evangelists for a grindhouse sermon like no other!!!! Make Them Die Sleazy is a extreme horror anthology directed by independent duo Chris Woods and John Miller. It mixes several short films with a connected wraparound story. “Spaventare” follows a woman coming home to relax. As she gets settled in, something isn’t right. A home invasion is taking place and an unknown psychopath gets closer to his next victim. “Vomit Soup” is the twisted tale of a lonely man He is deprived from his sexual urges so he snaps and he takes it out on his unlucky partner. After the living nightmare takes place, he continues his madness while appreciating the leftover body parts from his disturbing massacre. He struggles with his will to live after realizing what’s happened. Next up is “White Lie”, a killer is under psychiatric examination. The troubled man has killed his own wife and his secret mistress. He has slipped from reality where’s no sanity left. He ends up with another personality that takes blame for these vicious murders. “Hennessy X Red” deals with a maintenance man that fixes a bloody toilet in his apartment complex. He thinks there’s something off about his neighbor. He has it in his mind that he’s secretly a blood sucking vampire. He decides to take matters in his own hands and it becomes a complete disaster. “Dark Comedy” highlights a washed up television host on his last legs of fame. He can’t compete with the younger acts in his industry and he’s starting to feel pushed out of the only business that he knows. He’s desperate for a new start and resurrection of his career so he accepts a mysterious offer that could end up being his final mistake. “Mondo Socko” includes a veteran detective that numbs his days with alcohol and whatever else to distract him from his actual existence. His past keeps on torturing him so it’s a painful journey. “Shadow of a Victim” is the story of a hitman that can’t get his last kill off his unstable mind. It becomes a serious issue and the contract killer can’t get away from this fatal memory that continues to haunt him long after it’s been done. “Taste Me” focuses on an online prostitution company. They keep disappearing through a mysterious client that’s destroying any girl that comes into his sadistic path. The ambitious detective on this unusual case decides to go undercover to find out who’s eliminating these working ladies. As he gets deeper, this whole sleazy world is full of hidden surprises. Cult actor Joel D. Wynkoop is damn near in every segment here as Mr. Sleaze, Frank, Detective Royce, Jack Carlson, and The Snake. Wynkoop flexes his acting skills giving a variety of unique portrayals. Each role is their own person in this horror anthology. It just proves if Joel D. Wynkoop gets the right material, he will knock it out of the park every time. He is really underrated, I wish he was given more quality chances like this. He stands out the most when it comes to Make Them Die Sleazy. The rest of the supporting cast includes Tobian Thompson, Sarah Bray, Luis Matos, Bob Glazier (Chaos A.D.), Mike Christopher (Dawn of the Dead), M. Catherine Wynkoop (Dirty Cop No Donut), Joe Makowski (Chaos A.D.), Rod Grant (100 Tears), Rob Elfstrom (Family Snapshot), Jeania Ingle (Amerikan Holokaust), Trish Dempsey (Bully), Catherine Elizabeth Baucom (Roxy), Shade Burnett (Theatre of the Deranged II), Cyndi Crotts (Amerikan Holokaust), Melissa Goggans (The Art of Killing), Jill Larramore (Stories of the Paranormal), Simon Lynx (Bleed), Anthony Wayne (Taste Me: Death-Scort Service Part 3), and Jamie Lea (Tidbits of Terror). Make Them Die Sleazy ironically isn’t as sleazy as expected with a title like that. It still has some in it plus it has shades of violence and gore during it’s more chaotic moments. There’s a decent amount of cut away here where the audience is left to use their own imagination for the messed up scenarios that occur in Make Them Die Sleazy. As always with every horror anthology, the shorts are either hit or miss so the viewer never knows which one will show up. The good outweighs the bad, it’s a fun and creative way to display a variety of weird segments together with a demented horror host responsible for all of it’s terror. RECOMMENDED!!!! This 1080p unrated (1.85:1) transfer makes it’s debut to Blu Ray for this home video re-issue after only being available on DVD in the past. The different production styles gives Make Them Die Sleazy so many visual approaches during this horror anthology. It shows off a little bit of everything. It has an English: Dolby Digital 5.1 track on the disc. All of the dialogue is crisp, the random events of madness is elevated, and the music has big boost to it. It has English SDH subtitles. It has the “Trailer” for Make Them Die Sleazy. It has a variety of The Sleaze Box and SRS Cinema related “Trailers”. It has the almost 3 minute “Aja Jones”. It features a mix of video clips with actress Tobian Thompson from the wraparound story. It has the little over a minute short “The Hot Yellow Bandit” starring Joel D. Wynkoop and directed by John Miller. It has the little over a minute “Interview” with Chris Woods. He chats about how Make Them Die Sleazy was put together with a few different shorts from their past. They had a contest where fans picked the title for the horror anthology. It has a little over a minute of “Outtakes” with lead actor Joel D. Wynkoop. It has the almost 3 minute “Contest” video with directors Chris Woods and John Miller where they let their fans name this independent horror project. It has a little over 7 minutes of “Photos”.
