Cute Little Buggers Review (Uncork’D Entertainment)
Cute Little Buggers is a 2017 horror comedy directed by Tony Jopia (Deadtime, Crying Wolf 3D, Suicide Platoon (TV), & Dawning of the Dead). Aliens (Earnest the leader & Brian the follower) set their sights on a new place to dominate & they end up picking earth. They need some young women to provide more life. Two horny adults camping run into into a dangerous creature right away & they regret getting near the extraterrestrial predator. Chief Inspector investigates the gruesome scene & he claims it just looks like an accident. James doesn’t believe his boss. Local asshole Richard Cameron threatens to take away old man Burt’s farm. His estranged son Mel shows up to tell him that his ex wife died. Mel is ready to leave town again until he see his long lost childhood love Rose. Her boyfriend Charles quickly reminds Mel that Rose is his girl & a love triangle begins. Attacks start happening all over town.
Rose confronts Mel about leaving town all these years without any explanation or sending any letters to keep in contact. Mel confesses his love & gives her a letter he sent. They finally hook up after all these years. Local creep Barry goes to Mystic Mary (played by: Caroline Munro from “Maniac”, “Slaughter High”, “The Spy Who Loved Me”, & “Dracula A.D. 1972”) to get his fortune read. She tells him that his treasure is in the woods. All the males are found dead but females are still missing from each crime scene. Washed up one hit wonder Randy Rocksoff (played by: Gary Martin from “Slaughter High”, “Living Doll”, & “The NeverEnding Story III”) performs at Deddington Summer Fete. Lots of members of the community are being killed or just randomly vanishing from town. James investigates another death from an animal attack & he knows this can’t be random like the others before. Everyone is at the festival together & the rabid rabbits are ready for a feast! This causes mass hysteria as more rabbits show up. Can they survive these monsters from destroying everything????
Cute Little Buggers was one of the funnest movies that I’ve seen in recent years. It was very entertaining during it’s whole running time. Lots of boobs & blood for all you diehard horror fans. The body count was crazy, I lost count at one point. I was impressed with the special effects for it’s budget especially when it came to the gore. It’s a very low budget film & the visual effects definitely suffer from it. They were flat out horrible but I guess for a film like this it adds to the silly charm of it but don’t expect anything high quality when it comes to that department. The script had a good balance of hilarious moments so the humor kept this one fun from the beginning. This horror comedy left a great first impression on me so I will check out other stuff from the director in the future without any hesitation. If you are looking for a new killer animal movie to check out to kill some free time, I HIGHLY RECOMMEND this to be next on your list. It’s now available for free on Amazon Prime. It’s also available right now on Blu Ray & DVD from Uncork’d Entertainment. CHECK IT OUT!!!!
