Bang Blu Ray Review (Well Go USA)

Bang is a 2025 crime action film produced, shot, and directed by Wych Kaosayananda (Ballistic: Ecks vs. Sever, Tekken: Kazuya’s Revenge, One Night in Bangkok, The Driver, Zero Tolerance, and Angels). It was written by Peter M. Lenkov (Demolition Man, Son In Law, Universal Soldier franchise, The Crow: Stairway to Heaven, R.I.P.D franchise, CSI: NY, 24, Hawaii Five-0, Magnum P.I., and La Femme Nikita) and Ken Solarz (Crime Story, City of Industry, Croc, Hawaii Five-0, and Miami Vice). The script is based on a concept from the television series Hawaii Five-0. It was produced by Jordan Gertner (Bully, Buffalo ’66, The Poker Club, The Killer Inside Me, Spring Breakers, 360, and The Virgin Suicides). William Bang (played by: Jack Kesy from Hellboy: The Crooked Man, Deadpool 2, 12 Strong, Without Remorse, Baywatch, The Strain, and Death Wish) is the most dangerous hitman to ever carry a gun. While working for a ruthless Crime Boss (played by: Peter Weller from the RoboCop franchise, Naked Lunch, Dexter, Sons of Anarchy, Screamers, Shakedown, and Of Unknown Origin), Bang suffers a near death experience that changes him forever. He doesn’t want to kill anymore and he wants to help this woman (played by: Tristin Mays from MacGyver, The Vampire Diaries, and Supergirl) that he feels connected to after everything. Unfortunately, his vicious boss doesn’t agree with the new version of Bang and turns his former associates against him which makes him the next target!!!! I am a huge fan of hitman features so Bang grabbed my attention right away. Action veteran Wych Kaosayananda is behind the camera for this independent crime action production. The script has some interesting twists and it’s a different take on this sub-genre. Character actor Jack Kesy gets the lead role here as brutal professional contract killer William Bang. He’s the best in the business and he never misses. He almost dies and he’s saved with an organ transfer. This completely makes him rethink his entire life and it causes all kinds of problems with his mobster associates. Peter Weller is top notch as the over the top mob boss that doesn’t deal well with real change. Weller chews the scenery as the nasty villain here. He’s not willing to let his perfect weapon walk away. Action legend Kane Kosugi (Revenge of the Ninja, Black Eagle, War, Ultraman: The Ultimate Hero, Godzilla: Final Wars, Ninja: Shadow of a Tear, and Pray for Death) shows up in this and it’s great to see him return to the genre. The rest of the supporting cast includes Tristin Mays, Elliott Allison (Affinity), Steve Bastoni (The Matrix Reloaded), Paul Mann (Claws), Bear Williams (Tremors: Shrieker Island), Tofan Pirani (Affinity), Carlo Natale (Mayhem!), Anastasia Maslova (Game Changer), Grégory Matthias Garcia (Mechanic: Resurrection), Dana Blouin (Hard Target 2), Marie Broenner (Revenge from the Past), and Niko Tucci (Alien: Earth). Bang starts out strong with plenty of violence, action, and some nudity. It manages to deliver on everything that you would want from something like this. It feels like something that would be made in the 80s. It has a nice flow to it. It tries to change it up from your typical hitman story and it shows a man facing redemption after facing death. He doesn’t want to keep on killing and it does some interesting stuff here to avoid that which eventually backfires. It keeps itself very entertaining and lots of fun while trying to survive all of this chaos. RECOMMENDED!!!! Let’s discuss this high definition presentation from Well Go USA! This 1080p (2.39:1) transfer is way better than expected considering it’s lower budget. The sharp cinematography, gritty production design, and it’s quality locations stands out the most when it comes to the visuals. It has an English: DTS-HD Master Audio 5.1 and English: DTS-HD Master Audio 2.0 tracks on the disc. The audio definitely delivers on it’s action and violence. All of the dialogue is crisp, the bloodshed is elevated, and the music has a killer boost to it. It has English SDH subtitles. It has the “Trailer” for Bang and various Well Go USA related “Trailers”. It’s a professionally made on demand BD-R. It’s available everywhere right now including MovieZyng.com, CHECK IT OUT!!!!
