Amityverse Blu Ray Review (SRS Cinema)

Amityverse (aKa Amityverse For God’s Sake, Book a Bigger Theater) is a 2025 horror anthology film directed by Chad M. Campbell (Jeanie’s Face Exploded), Curtis Everitt (Beaver with a Cleaver), Ron Ford (The Fear), Evan Jacobs (Amityville Death Toilet), Chad Knauer (Skeleton Cop), Jt Kris (Ghosts of Amityville), Josh Spiegel (The Last Amityville Movie), Blaize Tudor (Amityville Zombies), Douglas Waltz (Amityville Sasquatch Vs Kreepy Klown), and Andy Wolf (Monster Mansion Memories). It was produced by Ron Bonk (Amityverse: Infinity, Amityville VR, Amityville AI, Amityville Thanksgiving, Amityville Turkey Day, Amityville Ripper, Amityville Bigfoot, Amityville Death Toilet, Amityville Karen, Amityville Shark House, Amityville Backpack, and Amityville Backrooms). This was followed by 2026’s Amityverse: Infinity. The curse of Amityville lives on in Amityverse that drags viewers deep into the infernal legacy of the world’s most haunted address. It explores every twisted corner of Amityville’s mythos which includes everything from killer clowns, haunted cops, cursed toilets, serial killers, influencers, and malevolent mimes. The Amityverse features Amityville Clownopalooza, Skeleton Cop Goes to Amityville, Amityville Death Toilet: Reprise, Amityville Mime, Scamityville, Amityville Killer, A-Mall-Tyville, Amityville Next Door, Amityville Lawn Flamingo, and Amityville Murder Hammer!!!! Amityverse is a horror anthology that explores so many different subjects and concepts when it comes to the classic haunted location. It features a few established underground filmmakers and lots of upcoming directors for these 10 unique tales for the supernatural horror sub-genre. Like every anthology project, these segments are either hit or miss. There’s only a few stand outs here that would probably make a decent full length if expanded but at the same time there’s a few that felt too long even at their short segment time so it’s very unpredictable and random for this no budget production. There’s even some follow ups in this from previous movies which makes it a little more interesting. It’s very inconsistent so the audience has to be patient because there’s some rough moments that are a little bit of a chore to get through. The cast for Amityverse includes Mel Heflin (CarousHELL 3), Armand Arekian (Amityverse: Infinity), George Cook (Killer Kong), Angela Grimm (Broken Innocence), Mike Hartsfield (Amityville Mosh Pit on Elm Street), Jeffrey Hylton (Amityville VR), Mike Infante (Freaky Tales), Christopher Korek (Amityville AI), Rudy Ledbetter (Amityville Bigfoot), Andrew Pierson (Amityverse: Infinity), Magnus L Thomasson (Amityville Ripper), Peyton Korek (Amityville Turkey Day), Blaize Tudor (Amityville Big Top of Death), Wren Valentino (Amityville: Descendants of Darkness), Travis Varnum (Spandex-orcist), Jace Blalock (Santa Crawls), Paul Bradford (Amityville Shark House), Nick Johnson (Tales of Screaming Madness), Shawn Ness (Amityville Backpack), Dante B. Salazar (The Arkansas Pigman Massacre), Jonas Thomasson (Ghosts of Amityville), Junie Liv Thomasson (Ouija Clown), and Kyler Wayne (Meanboat). Scream Queen Mel Heflin had the best performance in Amityverse, I would love to see that character in something else. The rest of the acting went everywhere from either decent, awful or just over the top so it was all over the place for this independent feature. Most of the special fx feel extremely cheap even for this type of no budget film. There’s a few decent spots in Amityverse but unfortunately a good amount just feels uninspired and lazy for it’s shock value. So it’s not exactly extreme when it comes to violence. I do appreciate that it has a little bit of everything in this. It should have something for everyone, it mixes comedy and serious moments. SRS Cinema wasted no time to put together a follow up to this, Amityverse: Infinity so I am curious how that one turned out. It’s not for everyone but it does have segments that are worth checking out so you just have to get past the bad ones. I’ll always be curious if it involves Amityville, I’ve seen much worse and much better when it comes to this never ending horror franchise so at least it has some entertainment value to it!!!! Let’s discuss this high definition presentation and special features from SRS Cinema! This 1080p (1.85:1) uncensored transfer looks better than expected considering it’s basically 10 different short using different equipment put together as 1 full length feature. Obviously, some of the segments look better than others here but they all visually fit together for the most part. Amityverse has a variety of wild visuals when it comes to the Amityville legend. It has an English: Dolby Digital 5.1 track on the disc. It mainly shines for it’s score for the audio. All of the dialogue is clean, the supernatural elements are elevated, and the music has a decent boost to it. It has English SDH subtitles. It has an “Audio Commentary” with Andy Wolf, Blaize Tudor, Chad M. Campbell, Spencer Knauer, Curtis Everitt, Douglas Waltz, Evan Jacobs, Josh Spiegel, Dante B. Salazar, Jt Kris, and Ron Ford. This track mainly has the directors behind these Amityville segments. They mainly got involved from an online post from producer Ron Bonk asking for Amityville shorts to put this all together. They share all kinds of detailed information and inside stories about their short productions on here. Just like the actual movie, some of these commentary spots are better than others. It has a “Trailer” for Amityverse. It has various SRS Cinema related “Trailers”. It’s a professionally made on demand BD-R. It’s available everywhere right now, CHECK IT OUT!!!!
