350 Days (aKa 350 Days – Legends. Champions. Survivors) is a 2018 professional wrestling documentary directed by actor Fulvio Cecere (The Jersey Sound and The Regular Guy). It’s written and produced by Darren Antola. It had a limited theatrical run through Fathom Events and it grossed $47,526 at the box office. This no holds barred documentary chronicles their struggles to survive the chaos of the 1980’s era in professional wrestling. They were living a rock and roll lifestyle as they faced nightly temptations, and battled their vices. They were absentee parents and spouses while chasing their dreams of fame and fortune. In their own honest words, with the cutting insight and sharp wit one would expect from such legendary icons from the squared circle. These gentle giants tell their harrowing stories as so many marriages dissolve and lots of their relationships with their children are strained. Sometimes permanently and their troubled past comes back to haunt them. Such is the life of the professional wrestler, such is life itself!!!!350 Days is a different type of professional wrestling documentary. It focuses on the hectic road life of all these wrestlers. They all came together and share their own experiences about working non stop in the sports entertainment business. It has interviews with Bret Hart, Jimmy Snuka, Billy Graham, Ted Dibiase, Greg Valentine, Lex Luger, JJ Dillon, Paul Orndorff, Tito Santana, Wendi Richter, George The Animal Steele, Ox Baker, Lanny Poffo, Abdullah the Butcher, Gangrel, Marty Jannetty, Stan Hansen, Doink the Clown, Slick, Bushwhacker Luke, Axe from Demolition, Nikolai Volkoff, and others. It’s loaded with so many familiar faces from my childhood. Most of these performers are from the 80’s or a little earlier. There’s a decent amount of these chats that are actually very personal and it’s filmed at their homes. The others appear to be from wrestling conventions where director Fulvio Cecere caught up with them. These wrestlers talk about way more just traveling for their busy job. This documentary takes you deep inside their lives with stories that weren’t really shared at the time. They admit doing drugs including steroids. They are brutality honest about cheating on their wives while being on the road. Not all of them featured in this are like that, there’s a few rare occasions where they have only been married to one woman the entire time during their career. They openly discuss their opinions about how most people call their profession fake. They bring all their real injuries, surgeries, and situations during their matches. They bring up gimmicks that they went through. It has all kinds of pictures and video clips from professional wrestling which includes even more wrestlers that weren’t originally interviewed for this independent production. Filmmaker Fulvio Cecere put together one of the realest inside looks into pro wrestling in this documentary that doesn’t hold back on any subject. You don’t really have to even be a wrestling fan to enjoy this. It’s just an interesting and entertaining concept that shows what happens when people are working all the time with their job with very little breaks to actually enjoy a normal life. This was made in 2018 so I think it would be appreciated even more these days with the popularity of the TV series Dark Side of the Ring that has really opened the eyes to the wrestling world and some of it’s hidden secrets. This is one of the better documentaries that I’ve seen or reviewed recently. It’s nice to see some of my childhood heroes open up and keep it real, RECOMMENDED!!!! Let’s discuss this high definition presentation from Gravitas Ventures! This 1080p (16:9 Widescreen) transfer looks better than expected. 350 Days is filmed at a variety of locations so the quality and visual style changes at times but overall everything looks great here. It has an English: DTS-HD Master Audio 2.0 track on the disc. It’s a documentary so don’t expect your sound system to go crazy with this one but it does sound really good for what it is. All of the interviews are crystal clear, the wrestling is elevated, and the music has a nice boost to it. It has English SDH subtitles. The only extra here is the “Trailer”. It’s a M.O.D (BD-R) home video release. This is a must own for wrestling or documentary fans. It’s available everywhere right now, CHECK IT OUT!!!!
